A man police say has been masquerading for more than a year as a lawyer has been charged with pretending to be an advocate of the high court.

Ronald Omondi Oimbo was charged at the Milimani law courts on Friday April 07 2017 .

He denies that on diverse dates between March 2016 and March 08 2017 being  “unqualified as an advocate of high court of Kenya” he willfully practiced as a lawyer by representing Kenhar Motor Services limited in a court case.

Working at city law firm

He has been working at a city  law firm where he was also found with an instrument for making forged stamp impression.

Oimbo faces separate charges of forgery and pretending to impose stamp impressions as a practicing lawyer.

He was released on a cash bail of Sh150 000 pending hearing.

He is accused of having in his possession  fake rubber stamp for Isaac N. Kibere Advocate & Commissioner of Oaths.
He is also accused of forgery.
He faces a separate charge stating that at an unknown date without lawful excuse knowingly had in his possession an instrument capable of making impression of a stamp purporting it to be genuine official rubber stamp for Hillary Maorina Advocate & Commissioner for Oaths.
He pleaded not guilty and was released on a cash bail of Kshs 150, 000.
