A Central Bank of Kenya official has been charged in a Nairobi court with stealing Ksh1 million from his employer.
Wilfred Agingu Odinga is said to have stashed the bank-notes in his jacket on September 12 2017 at the Central Bank of Kenya, Nairobi from an underground vault.
Jointly with others
He was released on a cash bail of Ksh100,000 after he denied a charge of stealing by servant contrary to section 281 of the penal code.
The offence interestingly, was committed jointly with others not before court.
The case will be heard on October 6 2017.
Two prosecution witnesses are listed in the case.
The fellow, we are told, owns a fleet of cross border public transport vehicles!
