Ruth Kamande, the current Miss Lang’ata beauty pageant queen has been put on her defence.
This is after trial judge Jessie Lessit found that the prosecution had proved its case against her.
The judge ruled that the prosecution witnesses called to testify had piled up enough evidence warranting a defence.
She is charged with the murder of her boyfriend the late Farid Mohhamed on September 20 2015 after allegedly assaulting him repeatedly using a kitchen knife.
Detectives believe she killed Farid in a rented house they shared in Buru Buru estate, Nairobi.
The defence hearing has been slotted for January 31 2018.
