A woman has been charged with forging a Kenya Medical Laboratory Technologists and Technicians practice licence.
Elizabeth Wamaitha Mutea denied she made the licence No. KMLTTB/PL/07012 purporting it to be a genuine practicing licence issued by Kenya Medical Laboratory Technologists and Technicians board.
The suspect is alleged to have committed the offence on February 14 2018 at Upper Hill in Nairobi County with intent to defraud.
Mutea was also charged with the offence of presenting the false document with intent to defraud.
According to a covering report seen Justicenow.co.ke the woman presented the fake licence to John Oluoch Nyamuna for renewal.
Renewal of licenses
She was released on a bond of Ksh50,000 or an alternative cash bail of Ksh30,000.The case will be mentioned on February 22 2018 and will be heard on March 7 2017.
It is alleged that Oluoch was on duty when one of his staff dealing with the renewal of licenses informed him that he suspected the licence presented by the accused person was not genuine.
The licence was presented to him by the accused person and upon checking it through their machine, they noticed that the number which was on the licence belonged to another person.
