THE high court has ordered maverick online publisher Cyprian Nyakundi to appear in court on December 13 2018 over a defamatory article he published against politician Steve Mbogo.
Justice Jaden Thuranira directed Nyakundi be served with the suit filed by Mbogo and his wife Swabrina Jamal.
Mbogo and his wife are aggrieved by the offensive article published by Nyakundi on November 28 2018 linking the family to a sex scandal.
The offensive article have been published on a website, Facebook and a twitter handle all belonging to Nyakundi.
Mbogo says the articles are false, malicious and defamatory in nature.
Justicenow.co.ke will not publish any details of the contested articles as reprinting, as often done ignorantly by the mainstream media,only amount to further defamation.
Mbogo says the malicious publication have damaged his reputation as a businessman and politician.
“The articles complained of are arguably defamatory and maliciously published and the same have served to damage my reputation and family…” Mbogo states.
